Glenn Kennedy served in the United States Air Force, following the
path set by his father J.B. Kennedy, a 30 year career Chief Warrant
Officer in Avionics, and his uncle Lloyd Kennedy a career Colonel in
SAC B-47's and Titan Missiles.
While in the Air Force, Glenn was assigned to the Air Force Technical
Applications Center - Detachment 207, and remains an active member of
the AFTAC Alumni. Here in San Diego, VeroTek works closely with U.S.
Navy clients in the Data Network and Security arena, and is an active
member of AFCEA and NDIA.
The Veterans Business Journal recently published an article
that suggested the phrase "I'm a Veteran" is short hand for:
- I take responsibility for getting the job done
- I run my business with integrity
- I accomplish my mission
- I work well with others
- I lead my people well
Some great news for Veterans!
Senator James Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) has sponsored legislation in the
2008 Defense Authorization Act to permit Veterans and Military not in
uniform to render the hand salute when our flag is raised, lowered or
passes in review. It was amended in the 2009 Act to also allow the hand
salute for the Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem.
So all you Vets, let's get our snappy hand salute polished up!
