VeroTek has taken its 30 years of experience in Security, Training and the DOD, and formulated a CISSP course that combines the best features of the Kaplan Transcender Study Guides and Testing Engines, along with the experience to make the material relevant to the DOD and SPAWAR security environment.
The course is delivered in the VeroTek classrooms, or onsite at SPAWAR in a 6 hour/day 5-day approach that completes the program in one week.
Course Outline
Day 1: Security Mgmt; Access Control Systems and Methodology
Day 2: Cryptography; Physical Security
Day 3: Enterprise Security Architecture; Law, Investigation and Ethics
Day 4: Telecomm and Network Security; Business Continuity Planning
Day 5: Applications and Systems Development; Operations Security
(ISC)2 CISSP certification
The course alone is only part of the preparation process. In order to receive the CISSP certification from (ISC)2, the student will need to access the (ISC)2 web site and complete a series of steps involving an application, examination fee, record of 5 years work experience, criminal history questionnaire and Code of Ethics. Course Cost
This course is strictly for DOD or SPAWAR and contractor personnel, and is not available in the commercial space. Course payment may be made through the departmental purchase of vouchers or use of government credit cards. VeroTek is in the process of requesting the courses also be added to our GSA contract.
Individual Course Cost : $2,495
Vouchers for 5 students: $11,228
Vouchers for 10 students: $19,960
Classes need a minimum of 4 students at the VeroTek site, and 8 students at the SSC-SD site to run
