8570.01M Compliance
The newly released DOD 8570.01M establishes regulations for Information
Assurance (IA) training for all military, government and contractor
personnel involved with the IA aspect of a system.
The manual provides several mechanisms for personnel to obtain the
required training, including individual self-study. However, many personnel
feel they fare better in a structured training program that guides them
through the process.
In this regard, it appears the CompTIA Security+ is a popular way to
meet the requirements of IAT Level I and II and IAM Level I, while the
CISSP certification is the popular approach to meeting the requirements
for IAT Level III and IAM Level II and III.
VeroTek has taken its 30 years of experience in Security,
Training and the DOD, and formulated both Security+, and CISSP courses
that combine the best features of the respective study guides, text
books and practical exercises that are relevant to real-world situations
within the DOD and SPAWAR.
