"3Day Sammy"
Samantha, a close friend of several VeroTek staff made the decision
last year to participate in the 'Susan B. Komen' 3Day Walk to fight
Breast Cancer.
That's an important cause and a very impressive commitment. VeroTek
figured, if Sammy would make that commitment, VeroTek would help with
the money and getting other people to also contribute.
Well, she made it! :) :) and, we're all very proud of her. This is
her letter back to us afterwards.

Hi, Gang !
Well, the 3Day Walk is over, and we made it!
What an incredible experience in a thousand ways. All the way from
a walk of personal discovery, to one of meeting new friends and mostly
hearing the stories of people that had lost or nearly lost loved ones
to breast cancer.
This picture is a shot of us all gathered at the start early the first
morning of the race.
The first big "hill" as we slug our way out of Del Mar. The
weather stayed nice and overcast all three days, which helped a lot
Hard to decide which part of the Walk was the most inspiring? Was the
stories of lost loved ones, or was it seeing all the people out along
the way cheering us and breast cancer survivors on?
Here we are celebrating the end of Day 1. It was our first experience
with this kind of camp, and the organizers did a great job.
All along the way, tons of people were out to cheer us on. Every type
of costume, horn, decorated van and blaring stereo.
Here's my friend and walking teammate outside our "campground"
Here's yours truly hanging out in the tent. Closest thing to a glamour
shot that we got J
And man was the ground ever soft, although after a day of walking,
I'm not sure I noticed.
Well, we did it !!
I want to "Thank" all of you for sponsoring me to do this.
It was very important to me, and an incredible experience.
Thank You
Samantha
